All about Me
Hello, My name is Elisa Brown . I am 22 years old. I was born in Chicago Illinois on the south west side of Chicago. At a very young age my mother passed away. I was only 2 years old at the time. My father then took the responsibility as a single parent and started the journey of raising three children by himself. I am the youngest of my siblings. I had a very interesting upbringing. I was raised in a very pleasant environment. My father happens to be a devoted pastor in the Auburn Gresham community. He brought me and my siblings up to respect others as well as ourselves. Some things I enjoy doing are going to the movies, Listening to music, crafts and arts, singing, and appending time with my family. I also like good food . Some of my favorite dishes are baked chicken, pizza, macaroni and cheese, and lasagna. I am a determine young woman with a motivated spirit to achieve my set goals which leads me to share some of my greatest accomplishments. I graduated from Richard J Daley May 3,2015 with my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I work at Ezzard Charles Montessori School as a Teacher Assistant. I am currently furthering my Education In Early Childhood Education. I attend National Louis University I'm in my third Quarter there. I have a passion for helping others such as adolescents which led me to pursue my education in Childhood Development. I enjoy coming up with different creative ideas to help motivate children to want to learn to set the tone as a Child development Teacher and to be prime example to children who I may come in contact with. There are so many things that I can say to describe me . I'm looking forward to learning how to become a better teacher .

Hey Elisa! Do you enjoy working at a Montessori school? I ask because I worked at a Montessori for about 5 months and it is a very different approach than for example a regular daycare setting. I was not very fond of the Montessori approach, how about you?
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your mother. Your father was a very courageous man to raise three children on his own. I'm glad you're going down the right path and pursuing your education. How different is it teaching at a Montessori school opposed to a regular daycare?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the detailed background on who you are and how you came to education. You have a great attitude!
ReplyDeleteOne more thing, Elisa. Don't forget to add captions to each image on your posts (even if they are personal images).
